"Restrepo" is a feature-length documentary that chronicles the deployment of a platoon of U.S. soldiers to Afghanistan's Korengal Valley. The movie focuses on a remote 15-man outpost, Restrepo, named after a platoon medic who was killed in action. It was considered one of the most dangerous postings in the US military. This is an entirely experiential film: our cameras never leave the valley, we dont interview generals or diplomats. Our only goal is to make you feel as though you have just done a 90-minute deployment. This is war, full stop. The conclusions are up to you.

Inception (2010)
It definitely surpassed my expectations-

the movie basically follows dream extractors who agree to a gig to implant an idea into this dudes dream, known as inception. this notion was conceives as impossible but Leonardo risks it all anyways in order to get back to the kids he left behind. the only way to ensure this will work is if they create a dream dream w/in a dream which they do three times and every time they created a dream w/in the dream the time would expand. Leo formulates a team, ellen page- the architecht who builds the blue print of the dream so Leo and his team [Joseph Gordon-Levitt,Tom Hardy,Dileep Rao, and Ken Watanabe ] could roam around safely. Of course s*** goes wrong...as for the rest im not even sure about.
it was impressive visually. the aesthetics were amazing. there were familiar themes but the concept was oozing w/ originality. it was a total mind f***.
It was mandatory to pay attention throughout the movie to keep up with the plot but still by the end you're left wondering if what you saw actually happened
dazed & confused but intrigued was the general sentiment felt by most...
i will definitely be watching this again...

I knew this movie was going to be gut busting funny but one would expect more form heavy hitters like kevin james, adam sandler, and chris rock--as for spade--and that other dude , meh!
It was an odd compilation but I suppose this was geared towards the family demographic so there was only going to be light humor (if that's what you wan to call it).

M. Night Shyamalan is the worst writer EVER! He's a good director but he definitely didn't NEED to write, direct AND produce this movie--he's doing too much ..talk about a HUGE ego...
the dialog was so weak-- he tried to dumb it down --but even the kids were like uhh we get it ...we're not stupid! The actors we're repeating themselves and recurrently stating the obvious....
the cartoon had more intelligent dialog than this.---i felt like an amateur wrote it!
Even the kids in the theater felt their intellignence being questioned...
This wouldn't have happened with Disney (i kid)

the effects were cool but one thing that irked a lot f people was the fact that the main characters weren't ASIAN....it was weird too because all the extras would be ----but then you have all these white kids coming out the wood work...whats up w. that?!
The girl they cast to play Katara had the same disposition (cant act) in the entire movie which was annoying but the character in the cartoon is as well so they might have been spot on!
90% of the cast couldn't act which was troubling and plain shameful...
Dev Patel...well after seeing him in the series Skins I can never see him as a villain--he's too adorable
the kid who played the avatar was decent but he was definitely an amateur actor and but he killed the choreography....
the movie wasn't devastatingly horrible--i still enjoyed it for what it was worth HOWEVER who ever cast for this movie sucks major balls!
