Just Seen: the LIttle Traitor (2007)

Ido Port is the cutest little boy and a good actor at that age. Although the movie was in English there was a lot of spoken Hebrew. I didnt understand it but I understood the concepts behind the dialog. The movie was about the British imposition of Palestine around 1947 before the U.N. resolution was enacted. It was also based on how this little Jewish boy (10yrs old), Proffi, dealt with it whilst combating the scrutiny of his relationship with a British officer. It was a cute movie.

Just Seen: Avatar

Story line: Circa 2154. The US army lands up in Pandora, an earth-sized moon in outer space. Their objective: to extract the much-needed minerals from Pandora's soil. But before they can do that, they must fight the peace-loving indigenous inhabitants of the alien world, relocate or destroy them with their spies and bombs.

So Christmas Day I went to see Avatar in 3D. Its was everything I thought it would be. I love science fiction movies and this movie was the perfect fix. Not only that but the cinematography was brilliant! Kudos to Mauro Fiore for his amazing work.The technology they used for the CG characters were amazing; they were so life like. There was no limit to how much vibrant colors were used. there was so much detail put into the movie, naturally, thanks to the creative genius known as James Cameron. if you haven't read the books I would suggest you do. there are four parts to it. I don;t know if they are planning on making three more installations but i know i will be there to watch them if they do. I liked the political undertones as well. The whole infiltrating foreign land for for monetary reasons resembles our situation with our government sending our troops to Afghanistan. The movie had a lot of action which was a plus and its crazy in 3D especially when things are flying at you every minute which was a bit distracting (I might actually go see it again w/o the 3D)...

Just Seen: The Blind Side

When I first saw the trailer for this movie I thought it was goign to be another movie about some white coach coming to the rescue for a black atlhete(s) it was osme what of the same caliber onlyt his movie concentrated more so on the life of one individual. It was was after based on a true story so i cant put it down for its lack of originality when in fact it was based on reality. Overall, it was a good movie and Sandra Bullock was actually tolerable in this one.

Just Seen: An Education

Carey Mulligan was cute it this little quaint film. I thought there would me more depth to this movie but it was okay for what it was worth. I wasn't entirely disappointed. I did see one of my favorite actresses in the movie, Emma Thomson, she added a touch of insightful prestige.

JUST SEEN: May (2002)

Lucky McKee (writer & director) is so weird and I love it.
This movie was one of the strangest, freakiest, twisted, unusual productions I have ever seen with a comical presence, i.e. Anna Faris is in it.
Angela Bettis looks weird to begin with like she has some creepy secret and she exudes that
in this movie.
Best line: " So many pretty parts and no pretty wholes. "

Just Seen: Paranormal Activity

If you like "blaire witch project" -type documentary filmed movies then you will enjoy this.

A lot of this films success has to do w/ "word of mouth" propaganda. For example, My friend told me that it was really scary so I had to check it out for myself (i luv horror films).

Honestly it wasn't scary (for me). it all depends what type of audience your seeing it w/ too.
When I saw it the audience kept laughing so the overall experience was taken from me. -.-
I hate when others spoil the film; it was obvious they had seen it b4 too because they kept screaming out ish before something actually happened.
Lame!

Just Seen: Mary & Max

I fell in love with this movie. It's "a tale of friendship between two unlikely pen pals: Mary, a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne,Australia and Max, a forty-four-year old, severely obese man living in New York" (IMDB).

Its just raw innocence between two of the most awkward characters one could imagine. Its such a sweet story! Its very comical the way Mary and Max communicate together. The ending was a tear-jerker though.

There's a lot of sexy going on in this poster but I digress>>> i don't know what to think of this movie. It seems a little corny only because I can't picture actors like Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker and T.I.P. getting all mafioso but hopefully the action and suspense will distract me form my thoughts .

This movie was the s***!!!
It didn't seem like much in the beginning but my boy Marky Mark was good in this movie. He plays this psycho obsessed boyfriend aside Reese Witherspoon. The are soo young in this film and they were both great in this thriller. Also Alyssa Milano ("Charmed") is in this movie. Its a good watch.

Just Seen: Across the Hall

(released this year) This movie had a lot of suspense. It never made it to theaters but its pretty good. This movie was essentially about betrayal. The twist was pretty good; it was a bit drawn out. The story line was a bit too back and forth but not hard to follow. I would give it an 8 out of 10. The plot was well put together. The ending was descent and a bit surprising.

Just Seen: Inglorious Bastards

This movie was everything I thought it would be. Of course it was because Quentin Tarantino directed it and nothing he has ever done was even close to horrible. There were twists, great plot, great actors, there was even scalping, and Hitler was Killed along with many Germans. Brad Pitt was amazing and so was Eli Roth AKA "The Bear Jew" (he had a great part). BJ Novack (from The Office) was in it too and his role was pretty sweet; you don't seem him a lot during the movie but he was there where it counts.This movie definitely had the Quentin touch. You can sense his presence with the music score and the other little Quentin patterns. Over all this move gets an "A" from me.

Plot:In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.
There's a lot of buzz circling around this movie. Its greatly anticipated mainly due to the great work done on the animation. Should be interesting. I peeped the trailer and i like what iIve seen so far

Just Seen: District 9

I liked it more than I thought I would. It was like nothing I have ever seen before. It wasnt scary but it still was interesting. I didnt know what to expect. The storyline was pretty good. I wouldnt have predicted the ending (which i like). There was a lot of blood (another plus).~~~cool toys+gadgets!!
There was also some humor but not too much so it didn't seem corny or take away formt he seriousness of the story line. Ihtought it was interesting that they didnt clarify or mention at all how the humans and the aliens communicated because the humans would speak in english but the aliens spoke in their languae yet they understood each other...Weird !!! but okay...i would have like to know how they worked that out. It was filmed like a documentary so the camera was a it shakey but it wasnt OD like in Cloverfield. I would definitely recommend it.

Another gore film. There wasn't really anything unexpected in this film. You knew who was going to get chopped up and that protagonist would prevail. Same old ish! The ending was pretty corny but that was expected.
